
This doesn’t look 113 years old, but it’s from Howard Pyle’s “A True History of the Devil at New Hope” in
Harper’s Weekly for December 18, 1897. It served as a headpiece for the chapter titled “How the Devil was cast out of the Meeting-House” and the reproduction measures 6 x 3.3". A wonderful thing: flat, bright, bold, and creepy.
